At Prolific Roots Foundation, we are a woman-owned, minority-owned nonprofit organization dedicated to giving back to underprivileged communities through grassroots activism. Our mission is to empower individuals to make a positive impact in their communities through resources, advocacy, and collective action. We believe that by working together, we can create a significant impact on the world around us, starting with small efforts at home.
Our foundation is to be versatile, with a rotating schedule that influences and impacts multiple tiers of the community. We operate quarterly, each time focusing on a different group to fulfill our mission of helping and highlighting the various facets of our community. This approach allows us to increase our outreach and include everyone in our humanitarian efforts.
Every quarter, we organize a main event, one main drive, and several smaller outreach initiatives. By doing this, we can reach and include every sector of the community. We collaborate with local businesses and investors to create well-designed events for our local communities. All proceeds and donations are then utilized to organize a drive for a specific group in our community that requires extra assistance and support. By involving everyone and ensuring that no one is left behind, we can achieve endless impact.
Our goal is to become an international organization, impacting people worldwide and inviting them to join us in our quest to create a better world. We accomplish this by hosting events and drives that reach and include every level of the community, collaborating with local businesses and investors, and utilizing all donations and proceeds to provide additional support and assistance to those who need it most.

My name is Phina Bacon and I am one of the Founders of Prolific Roots. I founded this foundation to intertwine every level of the community, creating an inclusive space for people to come together and participate in humanitarian acts of service. I have always had a passion for helping others, which is why I am pursuing a career in surgical technology, hoping to eventually tie in my career with my philanthropy work through my foundation. With my background in medicine, I strive to find innovative ways to help close the health gap that is present in our society, as well as supply underprivileged communities with necessary living essentials. With the diversity of skills my team has, we hope to come together and create something special that will impact people across the globe!

My name is Jordyn Sommer and I am the appointed treasurer of Prolific Roots. I have a strong desire to help connect with others, and enjoy working in settings that involve collaboration and open communication, while simultaneously helping and serving people. I am very invested in gaining insight of others and learning more about their background and stories, for although we all come from different walks of life, we are all connected, and these commonalities are what interweave us into our community. My goal is to use my background in project management to effectively facilitate and align with the goals in the outreach sector of Prolific Roots. I will also create sound budgets to focus on producing lucrative results in fundraising, which will be used to provide resources and funding to undeserved communities.

My name is Destiny Bacon, and I am proud to serve as a Founder of Prolific Roots. Growing up throughout the cities of Los Angeles, I have experienced and encountered the needs of this community and its people. My goal as an individual has been to create a habit of always caring for the people around me, whether it be my familiars or strangers. I am driven to create ways for our community to care, help, and love one another. Although this might seem like a simple and easy mentality, I can attest to the lack of such caring by looking at the state of our society. We need to care. Through this foundation, myself and my peers have molded our purpose through this simple and yet ___ ambition. As a student currently studying the relationships of people and institutions, focusing on society and how to impact it, I cannot wait to see how myself and this team apply ourselves to this cause. Through Prolific Roots, I am making a promise to create change in my community.
